I Could Sing of Your Love Forever Sonicflood

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever
Sonicflood
But when the world has seen the light
They will dance with joy like we’re dancing now
It’s hard not to look at these lyrics by Sonicflood and think, "C’mon, get real. No one will be dancing in the streets. We live in the real world." Maybe we have it backwards.

David knew how to dance with joy. When the ark of God was brought back to Jerusalem, David and his men celebrated with all their might. When his wife confronted him, David basically said to her, "I am willing to act like a fool in order to show my joy in the LORD" (2 Samuel 6:21b, NLT).

Maybe what’s keeping people away from the church is the fact that the Christians they see don’t seem to be enjoying themselves. Why is that? Are you worried about what others will think if they see you dancing in the streets? Maybe we should be worried about what they think when we don’t.

You speak with thunder and lightning
Your voice shakes the mountains

Think about thunder, lightning, earthquakes, rushing waters, fire, strong winds, etc. etc. They are more than forces of nature. They are created by God!

When the writers of the Bible wanted to describe the power of God, they turned to the most powerful forces they knew. For example, look at 1 Samuel 7:10 (NLT): "But the LORD spoke with a mighty voice of thunder". Todd Agnew also reminds us of this with his lyrics.
God, our God, is a mighty God. If He can control the elements of unfathomable nature, He is more than able to handle anything we can bring to Him.

Ocean by Ten Shekel Shirt

Something about the ocean
Makes me rise up and praise

"Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?" (Isaiah 40:12, NLT).

To read the descriptions of God in the Bible, and to see the wonders of the universe around us, it’s amazing that we all don’t cower in fear before him. But the sight of the oceans stretching to the horizons or the mountains towering over our heads has the opposite effect.

Why? It’s because the works of God are beautiful and anyone who’s ever tried to write a love poem knows that beauty inspires. The difference in the power of God is that it’s a power that inspires and uplifts.

Hold my Heart - Tenth Avenue North

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16,

One tear in the driving rain/ one voice in the sea of pain/ could the maker of the stars/ hear the sound of my breaking heart/ one life, that's all I am

Do you ever feel like you're bothering God? Why? When you go to him with a prayer, a desire, a need, why do you feel like you are imposing on His time? Because He's GOD! Because He has a whole universe to run, and if I had a whole universe to run, I probably wouldn't have the time to listen to little prayers.
I only have a house to run and can barely listen to everyone in my life, let alone everyone on the planet. But that's why He's God, and we're not. He not only has the time to listen to you, but He wants to listen to you. He would drop everything He had to in order to listen to you and hear what you have to say. He thinks that there is nowhere better to be than listening to your wants, desires, and needs.

"Mystery Of The Holy Spirit "

Romans 8:1 Therefore, There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the Law of the spirit of life set me free from the Law of sin and death

Romans 8:8-9 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.  9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
